Airway pads

What are the advantages to using airway pads as compared to typical buffing wheels?

Airway buffing pads run cooler and thus cause fewer flow lines in aluminum and less warping in stainless steel. We use them in any application except for buffing small parts such as nuts and bolts that are snag prone.
